'Money Ratnam' is a road movie which casts Fahad Fazil in the lead role as Neil John Samuel. Neil is a Sales Executive in a car showroom. Niveda Thomas plays Neil's fiancee, Pia Mammen.
Neil comes across an unexpected incident, while returning after the New Year party. He is sure that he will be in trouble and be tortured in connection with this event. He tries to escape from the scene by getting into a bus where he gets a bag containing money left by someone else.
Soon Neil realizes that he is followed by notorious goon Makudi Das and his gang. He escapes in a truck and reaches a village in Tamilnadu.
Meanwhile, another group tries to sell a precious stone (ratnam). The money that Neil gets from the bag belongs to Isaac Aanakkadan, who comes to buy that precious stone. The resulting events are plotted in 'Money Ratnam'.
'Money Rathnam' is the debut directorial venture of Santhosh Nair. The movie is produced by Raju Mathew under Century Films.
The movie also stars Renji Panicker, Rajendran, Mamukkoya, Noby, Chembil Asokan, and Sunil Sugatha.
